We would like to invite you to participate in the third workshop organized under the NAWA APM project ScienceNet. You will have an opportunity to attend lectures on assisted reproduction in large and small animals, including wildlife, as presented by Bernard Roelen (Utrecht, The Netherlands), Ruth Appeltant (Oxford, UK), Camille Gautier (Vienna, Austria), Bart Gadella (Utrecht, The Netherlands), Marc Yeste (Girona, Spain), Lamia Amira-Briand (Nantes, France), Wojciech Nizanski & Maria Eberhardt (Wroclaw, Poland), Martina Colombo (Milan, Italy), Federica Franciosi (Milan, Italy), Jenny Zahmel (Berlin, Germany), Sven Budik (Vienna, Austria), Krishna Pavani (Ghent, Belgium), Shehu Sidi (Sokoto, Nigeria) and Pierre Comizzoli (Washington, USA).
Ann Van Soom (Ghent, Belgium) and Wojciech Niżański (Wrocław, Poland) will moderate the workshop.
The lectures will present recent advances in assisted reproduction in large and small mammals, varying from wildlife such as rhinoceros, European bison and wild cats, over horses, cattle and goats to cats and mice. We will focus on domestic animal models for wildlife and will highlight novel techniques such as reproduction by means of stem cells, and in vitro reproduction with the help of extracellular vesicles. The final lecture will share the current knowledge on reproductive aging in animals. We hope to meet you online in large numbers.
